We in CLC believe that all of our members have a right to think and act as
individuals without fear of being ostracized. CLC members do not discriminate
because of sexual orientation, gender, age, race, or religious, or political
beliefs. We accept all of our members and members of other organizations as part
of the Levi/leather family within the pansexual community.
There are several types of membership within the Chicago Leather Club.
A brief description of each follows along with a link to our membership
application located to the left. Please
email us
with any questions regarding membership!
 | Friends-of-the-club (FOCs)
Individuals who support CLC's mission and who contribute to the club with
their expertise and/or labor—but who cannot become associate or full members
for some reason, are given the honorary designation FOC. They are welcome to
participate in our bar nights, gatherings and other CLC functions. |
 | Associate Members
Associate Members are individuals who wish to materially support CLC but
who cannot fulfill other requirements of Full Members. Members of other
organizations who who support the goals of CLC are eligible to become
Associate Members. Associates receive a small CLC patch which they may wear on
their vests or overlays. |
 | Pledges
Pledge applicants are approved by a majority of the Full membership.
After acceptance, Pledges must present for approval and successfully complete
a project that contributes both to the organization and the larger community
and participate in all organization meetings and official activities for
six months. |
 | Full Members
A Pledge who has completed all requirements can become a Full Member after
a 3/4 "yea" vote by all the voting members. They are entitled to all CLC
member benefits including voting privileges, access to all CLC official
documents and they wear the full CLC colors on their vest or overlay. |
 | Emeritus Members
These are former members of the organization who no longer participate
fully but who want to retain their association with CLC. |
 | Honorary & Honorary Associate Members
This status is granted to supporters of Chicago Leather Club who have
contributed to our organization or the larger community in special ways. |
